Google Local Services auto responder for plumbers

People with a leak search Google, tap the first plumber in Local Services and type “water coming from under the sink” in the chat. That message is a paid lead, and the plumber who replies while they are still holding a towel usually gets the job. ReplyThemAll replies in about a minute and asks the question that tells you how bad it is.

What Google Local Services costs plumbers

Is the water still running

A Local Services message rarely says whether the leak is active or already under control. That single answer decides whether the job is tonight or Thursday, so the first reply asks it, and it can tell the customer where the shutoff valve usually is. You come back to a lead you can triage at a glance.

Speed shows up in the ranking, not just the booking

Google says Local Services ranking weighs how responsive you are to customer inquiries. A plumber who answers messages hours later pays for those leads and then shows up lower for the next search. A reply in about a minute keeps both from happening.

A real request, and the reply that goes out

Water heater is leaking from the bottom, there is a puddle in the garage. Need it replaced, it is a 50 gallon gas unit. What do you charge?

If it is leaking from the bottom of the tank, the tank itself has failed, so replacing it is the right call. For now, close the cold-water valve on top of the heater so the puddle stops growing. The price depends mostly on the venting and any code upgrades, so I will confirm it once I know: is the heater on a stand or on the floor, and does the vent go up through the roof or out the wall?

Questions about Google Local Services from plumbers

What if the message is for a job we don’t do?

A real customer asking for something outside your work, say a well pump when you only do residential drains, gets a polite no. If the lead is not valid for you, you can dispute it in your Google Ads account.

Can it get the customer’s number?

By default the first reply asks for a phone number so you can call back from the job. You can turn that off in Settings if you prefer to stay in the chat.

Will it quote a water heater?

Only if the price is in your price list or Google Sheet. Otherwise it says you will confirm after seeing the install, which is safer for a job that varies this much.
